The Czech republic is located in Central Europe (see the Wikipedia page or the CIA Factbook page for more information). Czechia is a member of the EU and the Schengen Area. See the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for information on visa. Here is a list of visa-exempt countries and here and here are a little more user-friendly, but unofficial websites providing the same information. It is, however, not a member of the European Monetary Union and the currency used is the Czech Koruna (koruna česká, CZK).
The main point of entry for most travelers and, we presume, most of the participants of IOL 2018 is Václav Havel Airport located some 20 km northwest of the city center. Transport from the airport to the venue will be provided for all participants as per usual. If you wish to come by train or bus, please contact the organizers well ahead of time.
We provide bus transportation from the Vaclav Havel Airport to the venue in Suchdol on 25th of July and from the venue to the airport on 31st of July.
